Arizona Newspapers Association: Delinquent Tax Public Notices
Where can I find delinquent tax notices?
When will they be available?
What size are they?
Hundreds of Public Notice advertisements are published in the daily/weekly editions of Arizona newspapers. Until now, you probably were limited to reading them in your local newspapers. You may have missed something valuable in another town, even if you pay for a clipping service.
The newspapers of Arizona, through its Arizona Newspapers Association, joined together to post the public notices, including Delinquent Tax Lists, from each edition to a central internet database.
There are two ways to search the database: Manual Search and Smart Search. Manual search will allow you to browse, for free, notices published within the last 90 days. Smart Search is a subscription system that automatically emails
to you links to the notices you are looking for as soon as they are published and uploaded.
Where can I find them?
Our Public Notice database is divided into two date-specific groups. The first (current notices) includes notices published in the most recent 90 days. The second (archived notices) are notices older than 90 days.
Most Delinquent Tax notices are published in January and February. That means if it now is May or later in the year you have to search the Archive data base.
To find delinquent tax notices, click on the "Manual Search" button, select your Arizona county and type
tax lien in the "exact phrase" search box. Click "Go" and they should appear for your viewing pleasure.

When are the notices available?
They generally are published in the last half of January or the first half of February. As soon as the newspaper prints them, they also upload them to this database.
What size are they?
Notices from smaller counties are large but manageable. Notices from the more populous counties are gargantuan. Those larger counties are sent to the database in segments with the first few paragraphs of the each segment giving you the key to the data.
